PlanX joins hands with the Unilever Foundry Network in Pakistan

PlanX is pleased to announce its collaboration with The Unilever Foundry Network in Pakistan. Through this global initiative innovators will be presented with an opportunity to partner with one of the world’s most successful consumer goods companies. Under this initiative Unilever seeks to work with, mentor and support budding entrepreneurs in order to facilitate and promote the startup ecosystem in Pakistan.

 

PlanX is a project of the Punjab Information Technology Board that is Pakistan’s largest technology accelerator for mid-stage startups that empowers them to become high-impact businesses. In addition to a co-working space, PlanX startups have access to dedicated mentorship, trainings, investment opportunities, and business development that they can capitalize on for scalability and customer acquisition.

 

With a success rate of more than 92%, PlanX has accelerated 27 companies till date. Subsequently the startups have raised $3.1 million dollars in local and foreign funding. Hence playing a major role in the evolution of the ecosystem, not only in terms of the number of startups accelerated but also with the creation of several initiatives.

 

With the startup phenomenon exploding all over the world, Unilever believes that startups have the potential to be one of the core growth engines and solution providers for the future.

This initiative will enable tech innovative companies to connect with Unilever. On news of this partnership PlanX and MIT Enterprise Forum Director, Hafsa Shorish said that; “we are pleased to find out about this progressive initiative by Unilever and are looking forward to this collaboration. Together with the right skill set, technical expertise and business acumen we are hopeful that our selected startups will have a chance to compete successfully in this venture“.
