TiE Organizes Mentor Galore to give guidance to Startup Founders

TiE Lahore organized an exclusive one on one mentoring event “TiE Mentor Galore: Get Set Go!” which was aimed at new and aspiring entrepreneurs so that they can learn and network with successful startup founders, industry leaders, investors and thought leaders.

TiE Mentor Galore was organized from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Royal Palm. TiE Lahore Chapter (www.lahore.tie.org) is an international, non-profit organization fostering entrepreneurship with 61 chapters in 18 different countries and 13,000 members worldwide.

The event was organized to further TiE’s motto of mentoring entrepreneurs, increasing their connectivity and helping them network with influencers and industry experts. The event engaged a large audience which included early to mid-stage startups, aspiring entrepreneurs and students as participants. The panel of mentors included successful startup founders, investors and professionals who have made a mark in their respective fields.

The program started off with a brief introduction of TiE Lahore Chapter and the mentors by the moderator followed by encouraging success stories of mentors, where every mentor shared their beginnings, difficulties and path to success, followed by a mentoring session in which every participant networked with the panel of extremely talented and experienced mentors and discussed their business ideas and models with them.

The panel of mentors included people from a range of industries. The mentors included Maryam Mohiuddin Ahmed, the founder and co-director of Social Innovation Lab (SIL), Ali Gul, co-founder of Mangobaaz, Adnan Zahid, co-founder Johnny and Jugnu, , Humayun Mazhar, Founder and CEO of Cresventures, Faisal Sherjan, Director NIC Lahore, Muneeb Maayr, founder of Bykea and Daraz, Mahrukh Malik CEO and founder of Instaprint and Zeeshan Baig, Careem.

Mr. Humayun Mazhar, President TiE Lahore Chapter, concluded the event by appreciating all the mentors and sharing the future roadmap that the chapter had envisioned. The event was able to grab a large number of very relevant audience. The evening ended on a positive note with a networking session, where guests interacted with each other and enjoyed a pleasant environment
